The Freedom From Religion Foundation’s “Freethought Matters” show this Sunday delves into Hispanic disbelief in Spain and worldwide.
The show’s interview is with Manel Salido, the president of the Humanists of Spain and host of the international Spanish-language show “Razón o Fe,” which means “Reason or Faith.”
“We are running ahead of you,” Salido teases “Freethought Matters” co-hosts Dan Barker and Annie Laurie Gaylor about the fact that Spain has a higher percentage of atheists than the United States. “You must shape up.”

The program has focused on a landmark Supreme Court case against religious indoctrination in public schools, has offered answers on how nonreligious people should deal with death. A few weeks ago, the interview was with FFRF Honorary Director Katha Pollitt, one of the nation’s foremost writers, freethinkers, atheists and feminists. The show prior to the most recent one interviewed distinguished evolutionary psychologist and renowned author Harvard Professor Steven Pinker. Last week’s show was a homage to the recently departed acting legend Ed “Lou Grant” Asner.
