Read More Atheist Republic Indian police have arrested two people in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly framing a Muslim man in a case of “love jihad.” The two men hired a Delhi woman to falsely accuse an innocent man of rape. One of the accused was identified as the district vice-president of a BJP youth wing organization.
A 24-year-old Delhi-based Hindu woman named Radha has accused Aman Chauhan and Akash Solanki of conspiring against a 27-year-old man. The men hired Radha for the sole purpose of framing Prince Qureshi, a Muslim businessman.

The woman had earlier registered a case in the Ganjdundwara police station in Kasganj. In the initial report, Radha accused Prince Qureshi of identifying as Monu Gupta (Hindu Name) to woo her with the promise of marriage. The woman had also alleged that the businessman had raped her. Following the woman’s complaint, a case was registered against Qureshi. Qureshi was charged under IPC 376, 323, and 506 for rape, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation.
In a shocking twist, the woman testified later in court that she was not raped and everything that she had alleged earlier was false. The woman told the authorities that Aman Chauhan and Akash Solanki had hatched a conspiracy to implicate Prince Qureshi.
The victim in her statement in court rescinded her allegations against Qureshi. Superintendent of Police, Kasganj, BBGTS Murthy, stated, “All details provided by the woman in support of her allegations were found to be wrong in our investigation. She was unwilling to go for a medical examination. She later confessed and said she had been asked to do this by two local residents. There seems to be an old rivalry related to financial agreements between the parties.”
An FIR was registered against the trio, and the police later booked Chauhan, Solanki, and Radha on charges of criminal conspiracy. Chauhan and Solanki were arrested but got released on interim bail.
It is alleged that the police initially did not register an FIR as the matter was related to love jihad. Members of Hindu organizations, along with Chauhan and Solanki, had protested outside the police station for the FIR to be registered. An estimated 200 members of the right-wing organization gathered to pressure the police to accept the case because a Hindu woman belonging has been cheated by a Muslim man.
Investigations revealed that Chauhan and Qureshi were in a financial dispute. Chauhan hatched this plan to push Qureshi into a corner.
According to Aman Chauhan’s Facebook page, he is District Vice President of BJP’s youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
BJP district president KP Singh stated, “Aman Chauhan is not a BJP worker. He had been removed from the party. I don’t know Akash Solanki. BJP has nothing to do with the matter.”
Love Jihad is a quite prevalent conspiracy theory in India. This anti-Islamic theory alleges that Muslim men coax unsuspecting Hindu women into marriage only to convert them to Islam. Their goal is to increase the population ratio to favor Muslims.
